TODAYS LUNCHEON ATTENDANCE:   53 have stated that they will be attending today.

PROGRAM OR SPEAKER TODAY:  Celib Kephart, promotional representative for the Fresno Grizzlies

OLD BUSINESS:

  • Jim Forden reported that from a review of our roster there appear to be several of our senior members who are 90 years old or older, and as such would be eligible for special recognition by SIR. Further research will be necessary to determine an accurate list because we have the month and day, but not the birth year for some of the members on our roster.  Also, we will need to check the state records, (and our own recollections) to determine, who (if any) of these men may have already received these awards.
  • At the May meeting, Ernie Sopp accepted the task of assembling a list of nominees for Branch officers for 2019. Jim Hiney reminded that we need to have the slate of nominees completed for presentation to the membership at our July meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:

  • Jim Hiney reported that the State Offices have scheduled another special meeting for chapter officers which will be including lunch as part of the proceedings.  That being the case, the state has requested that the chapters let them know who and how many will be attending the session;
  • Jim also announced that he was inviting the “special people” from each of our local chapters to attend a “briefing” session this Friday at the Yosemite Falls restaurant.

SUNSHINE REPORT:   Bernie reported both Robert Anderson (hip) and Ken Kreitner (knee) have recently undergone surgery and we need to give them support during their recoveries.

Meeting adjourned at 10:57 am.

RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED:  Jim Forden, Secretary
