ED DORN
Now that we are getting back to playing golf I am sending this information out to the new and old players to remind them of our procedures and information on our web page.
The golf courses are much more crowded than before Covid 19 which has created some unique situations. Most golf courses are now charging extra for individual carts. Also, it is more difficult to accommodate last minute additions. Because we have consistently had last minute drops by all level of players we have avoided using a scrambles or shambles format. The other formats allow us to use blind draws.
Other Important information:
Signups for our events are mostly done via email since we are not yet having luncheons. Please sign-up by the deadlines in the emails. This is usually the Saturday evening before a Tuesday event.
Our events typically have a $5.00 buy-in plus paying your green fees. Correct change for the buy-in is greatly appreciated by the host.
Please check into the event ½ hour early. This allows the host to make any last minute needed changes and get ready to play.
When you play in a SIR event we will post the scores to the NCGA website for you. Our golf web page shows upcoming events when you first open it. In the “News” section results of previous events can be viewed. Also if you click on a team in the pdf file when you are in results you can see the individual scores. The web page is: https://sirgcarea29br169.
If you paid your NCGA dues thru the branch you can also log in to your profile on the web page
