Hope everyone is enjoying the spring forward. The extra time is now beginning to show
with darkness coming after 7:00. That means an extra hour for golf It was nice to start at
9:00 on Tuesday instead of the normal 8:00. That extra hour seems to help.
We had an unexpected cancellation for April. However, our new speaker is Liz Zemke, RN,
MS, CCM. I got Liz due to her experience with the VA. She is a consultant for care management and also works with VA Pensions for Aid and Attendance, as well as senior care resources. We are always on the lookout for ways to help our Vets.
Just a reminder to everyone, May is Mother’s Day month, and we have a special speaker
just for the ladies (the men will enjoy our speaker as well). Our guest will be DA Lisa
Smittcamp. She has spoken before at our May Lady’s day luncheon and she is always well
received. So ask your favorite significant other and make sure you reserve Tuesdays, May
14th for our luncheon.
