FOUR MAN, TWO BEST BALL:
During a four-man, two best ball competition, four players play each hole of the competition following the normal rules of the game. After each hole, the players compare scores and use the two lowest net scores of the team's members, for the team score. For example, Dave and Tom shoot 6s on the first hole, Dave's handicap rating gives him 2 strokes on the hole and Tom gets only one stroke. Rob takes a 5 and Steve shoots a 3, but neither receive handicap strokes. Dave's net score is 4 (6-2); Toms net score is 5 (6-1), Receiving no handicap strokes on the hole, Rob's score is 5 and Steve's score is 3. The two lowest net scores are Dave's 4 and Steve's 3, the foursome a team score of 7 (4+3). During the competition, one player might account for most of his team’s hole scores. The individual scores of each player need to be recorded for handicap submission and may be used for the award of individual prizes.

CHA CHA CHA
The classic golf game Cha Cha Cha is an different way to score golf tournaments and outings. With four man teams, on the first hole, the lowest score is counted (cha); on the second, the lowest are counted (cha cha) and; on the third, the three lowest are counted (cha cha cha). An advantage of this format is that it tends to keep everyone involved.
ORANGE BALL
Played by 4-person teams. Every player plays the hole with their own ball, but per hole, one player plays the colored ball. This ball rotates among the team members per hole: A plays it on hole 1, B plays it on hole 2, C plays it on hole 3, etc. The team score is the total of the score from the colored ball plus the lowest score of the other 3 balls played.
