SIRS,
The speaker for April’s meeting is Bill Goodreau. Bill has been involved with
Central Valley Honor Flight for quite some time. With all the Vets in the club,
he should bring not only his military expertise, but his experience in the
Honor Fight. It should be a great presentation.
On another note, I received a forwarded message from Jim that originated
with the State Sirs Organization. I have forwarded the letter to Jim Forden to
keep as an official record for the club since his minutes are the official record
for the club. In the note from Sacramento, they want to get feedback from
all the clubs regarding women involvement in Sirs. Although it will be up to
the individual club, they want feedback on allowing women to be members
of Sirs. This will come up for discussion at the Board level as well as a topic
of discussion at the meeting level. We will take a vote of the entire club for
feedback to send to the state organization. Bring your ideas, as I am sure
there will be plenty.
