In this, my first Big Sir report in Branch 169, I first want to thank Ernie Sopp for his excellent
work as Big Sir in 2024. He and Luis Rodgriguez made my job very easy. I look forward to
working with Manny Contino as Little Sir this year. All of the BEC members do an excellent, but
in some cases exhausting job. I hope those who enjoy it continues, and that others will stand
up and take over from those who wish to retire from their extra duties in retirement.
Our last meeting included the excellent performance from the Bullard Talent Choir, who bless
and amaze us annually. We also had an excellent attendance. I hope we can equal or better
that in February when we have our next ladies’ day event.
While talking before the meeting, I discovered that at least two other of our SIRs enjoy model
railroading. That made me wonder how many others might be interested in this, and how
many other activities might interest enough of us to merit consideration as a SIRs group.
In closing, I want to wish all of you a joyous new year, and look forward to working with you in
2025.
