We had a really nice luncheon in August with Paul Loeffler as our speaker. Since he does the radio broadcast for Fresno State football, he was honored to meet our own SIR Dean Philpott, still ranked in the top seven for both career rushing and touchdowns for the Bulldogs. And he played more than 60 years ago! And they play more games now! Amazing. If you haven't had a chance to talk to Dean you should introduce yourself, he's not only a legend but a really good guy too. Another of our good guys is Ron Miller. He won our member of the month for stepping up and filling in multiple times as monthly golf host. He has been a great member for a long time but volunteering like that deserves to be rewarded. Then just when I was beginning to doubt if we would get enough people to accept the responsibility of branch office, we got two members to volunteer to be Treasurer! Since our current Treasurer, Duane Evans, has been doing it about 4 years and recently got injured, this was huge! So thanks to Fred Bates and Ben Hager for accepting this challenge. We will get them trained as Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer and Duane and his wife can ease out of this crucial duty that they have preformed exceptionally well. See ya at the next luncheon for more news and you can help us recognize another deserving member of the month!
