We had a good turnout for Ladies Day. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much of a food choice, the beef was dry and then our special entertainment had an emergency and couldn’t show up. We’re going to address the food choice in our next contract and talk to Pardini’s about what happened.  As far as our planned singers, they felt bad and offered to sing for free at a future event, maybe our Veterans Day luncheon. On a good note Jackie Lovato’s wife, Diane, did a GREAT job with the decorations, Pardini’s supplied 2 bottles of wine for every table and Bernie Hollenbeck stepped in and told of an interesting event involving reindeer and the military. Congrats to Jim Seay for being our member of the month, he was a popular choice and it was well deserved. So, we made the best of things and I think most people enjoyed their time with us. Like I announced, we’re going to print 50 roster directories and we will ask from $3 to $5 for them, whatever the printing costs are. There’s more to making our club run than people think. So if you can, please volunteer to help. I will be celebrating my 65th birthday next month and my 10th year in SIR. Maybe, I can give myself a special award! Show up to the luncheon and see.  I have our next member of the month all picked out too. It’ll be fun, see you there.
