Letters and e-mails went out this month to those Sirs that we have not seen or heard from
in months. These Sirs also have not paid their dues for the 2024 year. Because we have to
pay per person for our quarterly allotment, we are starting to purge our roster of Sirs that
have not been seen or heard from for a very long time. If you are going to participate is
Sir’s activities, YOU MUST BE A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING.
I will be participating in an in-person meeting in Layfayette. I will be bringing back the
agenda and reporting out what was discussed. I will be reflecting the opinion of the BEC as
to the direction the State Sir’s wants to go in. The fact that we have not seen a budget
from the state on expenses based on our quarterly obligation (State Sir gets $85k+ per
year) I am very reluctant to approve any increase to the state without some transparency.
Since October is Halloween month, I hope everyone enjoys their grandchildren in their
costumes. Don’t eat too much candy, bad for the tummy.
Ernie Sopp, BIG SIR
